Rapidminer 5.0 Video Tutorial #4 – Genetic Algorithmic Data Preprocessing Part 1

In this video I highlight the data generation capabilities for Rapidminer 5.0 if you want to tinker around, and how to use a Genetic Optimization data pre-processor within a nested nested experiment. Yes, you read that correctly, a nested nested experiment.

Hi Thomas, nice tutorial. I was able to copy what you did. How much money did you make trading with data mining so far? Also have you tried data-applied.com (they're hot on the West coast) or neuralware.com (great neural net tech)?

  2. Tom says:

Mark, if you search for my $100 Forex Experiment on this site you'll see that I closed it out with a +50% gain. I did that using neural nets.

  3. Alex says:

Hi Thomas, your tutorials are great. I would appreciate a tutorial with more visualizations e.g. graphs, charts and a real data input from a data feed or a url.
    Thanks!

  4. Tom says:

@Alex: I'm glad you like them. I'll see what I can do about your requests.

  5. Xiang says:

Tom, thanks a lot for your tutorial. It is very helpful to understand RapidMiner.

Hi thomas your tutorials are very useful
I was wondering if I can implement the simulated annealing optimization in rapid miner.

    Thanks

R.A: Yes, I believe this operator lets you select the starting temperature under the Blotzman selection scheme.

can you provide me the steps.

    Thanks in advance

I would love to but I don’t have the time right now.
