Sometimes I get asked what my favorite or best life hack is. I tell them it’s really simple but hard to do.
Here’s the best life hack:
Write stuff down in a journal.
I wrote more about it here.
I’m a reader of Reddit and I found a subreddit that makes me sad. It’s called r/WallStreetBets.
Everyone is posting on how much money they make or lose from trading ‘stonks’ using put or call options.
I ruminated about this in a video that I’m going to post soon.
Everyone get’s making money confused with the real thing, time. You can’t make more time, you can always make more money.
We all went on our first cruise last year on Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCLH). S and I had a great time, our kids were bored. When my wife first proposed the idea of going on a cruise, I rejected it. I was like “why do I want to be cooped up on a floating metal coffin?” I was wrong, I had a blast of a time.
The food was fantastic. There was so much to do for entertainment, and different port of calls were great too.
I think somewhere on this site I blogged about how I got started brewing beer. It’s been a fun hobby and works well with my new bread-making skills. Without sounding like a hipster, I’m not a fan of Budweiser beer. Never have and never will be, I think it’s piss beer.
That said, I am a big fan of their fermentation processes. They are expert brewers and I read somewhere that they keep their lager fermentation process stable to 0.
I implemented Plotly as an alternative to generating simple stock charts. What takes 60 lines in Bokeh takes maybe 5 in Plotly. Now I have to figure out how to add my autogenerated support and resistance line work, but that’ll be for another day.
I also added a 20DMA and 50DMA. If I wanted to add a 200DMA I’d have to make these charts longer because my data feed (Alpha Vantage) won’t let me do using the ‘compact’ setting for chart genertion.
I haven’t play Go in a very long time but I came across this short video of a Master making a major blunder. I don’t understand Japanese but you can hear the gasps and comments about it.
What happened was the Master placed a black stone and created a cross shape. This effectively gave him 1 liberty (you always want two liberties) for survival. This is called ‘atari.’
